Nasseef House Museum (Bayt Nassif)
Jeddah
About
Historic merchant house in Jeddah's UNESCO-listed Al-Balad district, restored as a museum and cultural venue, with period rooms tracing the social life of an important Hejazi family.
Bayt Nassif (Nasseef House) is one of the most recognisable historic merchant houses in Jeddah's UNESCO-listed Al-Balad district. Built in coral stone and timber in the late nineteenth century, it served as a residence for the Nasseef family and as a meeting place that hosted public figures during the formative decades of the modern Kingdom. The house has been restored and now opens as a museum and cultural venue, with period reception rooms, family quarters, a historic library space, and rotating exhibitions on Hejazi architecture and social history.
