Tabuk

About

Restored Ottoman-era Hejaz Railway station in Tabuk operating as a museum, with original locomotive shed, workshops, and displays on the railway built between Damascus and Madinah in the early twentieth century.

Tabuk's Hejaz Railway Station is one of the best preserved stops on the Ottoman-era line that ran from Damascus toward Madinah in the early twentieth century. The complex includes the main station building, a locomotive shed, workshops, and water and fuel infrastructure. Restored as a museum, it presents the construction and operation of the line, the social and political context of the railway in late-Ottoman Hejaz and Tabuk, and the survival of stations and rolling stock across the desert. Visitors can see preserved track sections and historic photographs alongside engineering displays. Please verify opening times and access from the official source before visiting.
