About

A striking heritage village in the Asir highlands with stone tower houses set against terraced mountain slopes, and an open community museum.

Rijal Almaa is a heritage village in the Asir highlands, southwest of Abha. Its tall stone tower houses, built of dark mountain stone and decorated with bands of white quartz, climb the slopes of a green valley between terraced fields.

The village runs a community museum displaying tools, costumes, painted Qatt Al Asiri interiors, and weapons from the region’s past. Surrounding viewpoints offer some of the most striking landscapes in the south. Please verify current opening times and access arrangements from the official source before your visit.
